It’s amazing how a personal project to make a knife for his son’s 14thbirthday, turned into a full-fledged business for Anton. After the company he worked for closed during 2020 due to Covid, Anton stepped away from nearly 30 years in the logistics industry to become a full time knife maker. Transition from a hobby to a profession can be a big step, and with only YouTube as his mentor, Anton has found a niche in crafting high-quality steak knives for some of South Africa’s top restaurants. His knives can now be found in Restaurants and private kitchens around the world.
